This painting features some of the motifs from the screen often-longevity symbols that was used for Joseon royal court events such aswedding ceremonies or banquets. Featured in the center of the painting are thesun and the moon, representative of the king and queen respectively, while peachtrees with branches full of ripe fruit protrude from the rocky mountain slopes on both the far right and left of rolling waves. This pair of four-fold screensexpresses the earnest wish for the perpetuity of the royal court.
